In Front of the Library (Zone 6)

中正大學圖書館擁有超過百萬冊典藏，並常態辦理各類藝文活動。圖書館正前方金龜樹與兩側樟樹林綠樹成蔭，吸引如五色鳥、樹鵲、紅嘴黑鵯、黑冠麻鷺與赤腹松鼠等物種棲息築巢。仔細辨別入耳的鳥鳴，似敲木魚聲的是五色鳥，叫聲粗啞的是與烏鴉同屬鴉科的樹鵲，而咩咩聲則是紅嘴黑鵯極具特色的歌聲。（陸維元攝）

The CCU library houses millions of books and holds a variety of events from time to time. The space in front of the library is shaded by Manila Tamarinds and camphor trees on two sides, attracting Taiwan Barbets, Grey Treepies, Black Bulbuls, Malaysian Night Herons, and Red-bellied Tree Squirrels to nest. The call of Taiwan Barbets resembles that of a percussion instrument known as a wooden fish; whereas Grey Treepies, a member of the crow family, make harsh, grating sounds.
