說明/ 展翅約5–6 公分，紋路分二型，無紋型和銀紋型。銀紋型後翅腹面中央有2 個緊鄰的紅色小圓斑，翅脈發達。雄蝶顏色較深，雌蝶較淺。體色有淡綠色與黃色，有些個體斑紋變異大。普遍分布於低海拔山區，成蟲主要出現在春夏季，幼蟲則以豆科植物如阿勃勒、鐵刀木或黃槐的樹葉為食。飛行快速，常見於公園、林緣及市郊荒地上進行訪花活動。雄蝶有集聚於溪澗溼地吸水的習性，高雄美濃的「黃蝶翠谷」盛況即為本種大發生所形成。（陸維元攝）

The wingspan is about 5-6 cm, with two patterns: spotless and with silver spots. The type with silver spots has two closely aligned small red spots on the underside of its hindwings with distinct veins. The male is darker in color than the female. Coloration includes light green and yellow with drastic differences between individuals. It is widely distributed in low altitude mountains. The adults mostly appear in spring and summer. The caterpillars feed on the leaves of plants in the Fabaceae family, such as the Golden Shower Trees, Kassod Trees, or Sunshine Trees. It has a fast flying speed and is often seen in parks, the edge of forests, and suburbs. The males tend to drink water near riverside wetlands in groups.
