說明/ 多年生草本蕨類植物，全株高80–100 公分，臺灣原生種，普遍生長於中低海拔原始森林，附生樹幹或岩壁。根莖短而粗，葉片劍狀披針形，葉片光滑明亮，邊緣呈微波浪。長葉片由中心向四方開展成巢狀，中央凹陷部分常堆積其他樹種的落葉，看起來就像是一個大鳥巢，因此而得名。山蘇不僅常被用來做為觀賞植物，山蘇幼嫩的新芽亦可作為野菜食用，是許多餐廳可口的佳餚之一。（黃伊君攝）

A perennial herbaceous fern that can grow to 80-100 cm tall, native to Taiwan and commonly seen in low and mid elevation old-growth forests, growing on trunks or cliffs. It has short, thick roots and enisform leaves with glossy surfaces and wavy margins. The curled leaves unfold from a rosette in the center, into which fallen leaves of other plants often accumulate, forming a nest, hence the name. It is not only grown as an ornamental plant but also as a vegetable whose sprouts are edible and can be turned into a delicious dish served in many restaurants. (Photo courtesy of Huang Yi-jun)
