說明/ 普遍留鳥，臺灣特有亞種，體型甚小，全長約11 公分，尾羽約佔一半長度。習性與灰頭鷦鶯類似，常單獨在草叢或灌叢中活動，極少飛到空曠處。停棲時，尾巴常翹起，不停的上下或左右晃動。以昆蟲為主食，也吃種子與果實。繁殖期約4 到7 月，雄鳥常會站在長草莖的頂端鳴唱，發出「滴、滴、滴、滴」清脆而單調的叫聲，間歇搭配有拍打翅膀的飛行展示行為。（彭楨儒攝）

A common resident bird, endemic subspecies of Taiwan, quite small in size, about 11 cm in length, of which its tail takes up about half. Its habits are similar to those of the Yellow-bellied Prinia, often appearing singly in underbrush or shrubs, rarely flying to open spaces. When perching, its tail is often tilted, shaking constantly up and down or in horizontal movements. It feeds mainly on insects, but also seeds and fruits. The breeding season runs from April to July, during which time the male often sings from grass tops, making clear “dee-dee-dee-dee” calls accompanied by demonstrative wing flappings.
