9.後山草原
Mountain Wilderness Area (Zone 9)

後山草原位於中正大學後山步道的最低點，中間有人工溪流通過。此區由各類樹木圍繞， 有領角鴞與鳳頭蒼鷹等鳥類於其中棲息。草原上方天空視野開闊，偶爾還能見到大冠鷲或 黑翅鳶等猛禽翱翔天際。小溪旁麻竹林與雜木林，是臺灣特有種生物諸羅樹蛙目前在本校 的唯一棲地，春夏季夜晚常可聽見牠們清脆又悅耳的鳴叫聲。（陸維元攝）

The Mountain Wilderness Area is located at the lowest part of the mountain trail, and has an artificial creek running through it. The grassland is surrounded by a wide variety of trees, and inhabited by Collared Scops Owls and Crested Goshawks, etc. Occasionally, Crested Serpent Eagles or Black-winged Kites are seen hovering over the area. Ma Bamboo and mixed forests grow beside creeks and are the only habitat on campus of Farmland Tree Frogs, whose clear calls can be heard on spring and summer nights. (Photo by Lu Wei-yuan)
