說明/ 體長約1.1–1.6 公分，中胸背板上有2 枚縱向的黃斑是其命名由來。頭部後方灰黑色，兩個複眼上方中心有3 個黑色的單眼。牠們為常見的物種，不會主動攻擊人，性格相對較為溫馴。廣泛分布於本島平地至1000 公尺以下山區，蜂窩多築於灌木叢或樹叢的樹葉下方，巢的材質如紙質，外觀似傘形或倒立蓮蓬。成蟲會停棲在巢外警戒，遇到敵人或危險時會震動翅膀。（彭楨儒攝）

About 1.1-1.6 cm in length, its mesothoracic tergum has two vertical yellow stripes. The part behind its head is greyish-black. There are three black single eyes above the two compound eyes. It is a common species and has a docile nature, preferring not to attack people unless provoked. It is widely distributed across plains and mountains below the altitude of 1000 m. The hives are often built in shrubs or among the leaves. The hives are paper-like in texture and shaped like umbrellas or shower heads, for which it is named.
