說明/ 雌蛛體長約2.1 公分，雄蛛約1.7 公分，常在水面漂浮或爬行是其辨識重點。雌蛛背甲黑褐色，邊緣散佈白色小點。眼域後方有一明顯的「甲」字形紅褐色斑。雄蛛體色基本上與雌蛛相同，但是背甲和腹部邊緣有一圈明顯的白邊，額部完全白色，體型也較小。棲息於平地至低海拔山區之池塘、溪澗、水渠等環境，白天躲藏在石頭下。常見與另一種活動於潮溼溪流沙地的沙地豹蛛混棲，擅於捕捉水域附近的昆蟲與小魚蝦為食，習性敏捷，隱密性高。（邱銘其攝）

Males about 2.1 cm in length, females 1.7 cm, it is often seen floating on the surface of water or crawling on the ground, which are its distinctive features. The female’s cephalothorax is blackish-brown, with white spots around the margins. There is a distinct pound sign-like reddish-brown marking behind its eyes. The male is identical to the female in body color, but has a distinct white circle surrounding its cephalothorax and abdomen, a white forehead, and a smaller size. It inhabits the ponds, streams, and ditches in plains and low altitude mountains, hiding beneath rocks and stones during the day. It intermingles with Pardosa takahashii, which inhabits wet sandy areas, and is adept at hunting insects and small-sized fish and shrimps near the water.
