說明/ 普遍留鳥，臺灣特有亞種，全長約42–48 公分。頭部鼠灰色，後面有冠羽，這是其被稱為「鳳頭」蒼鷹的由來。分布於中低海拔闊葉林，在次生林、公園與校園都能見到。近年來有在都會區棲息與繁殖的現象，且有逐年增加的趨勢。近似種為松雀鷹，但體型較小，身長僅約30 公分。肉食性，經常捕食麻雀、紅鳩、野鴿、野鼠與赤腹松鼠等。繁殖期會發出「濟– 濟– 濟– 濟–」，或較輕之「揮衣– 揮衣–」鳴叫聲。（黃明賢攝）

A common resident bird, endemic subspecies of Taiwan, about 42-48 cm in length. It has a grey head with a dark brown crest, for which it is named “Crested Goshawk.” Distributed across broad-leaved forests growing at low and medium altitudes, it can be seen in secondary forests, parks and campuses. In recent years, its population in urban areas has been steadily increasing. It is similar to the Besra, a similar species smaller in size, about 30 cm in length. Carnivorous, it often hunts Sparrows, Red Collared Doves, Rock Doves, rats, and Red-bellied Tree Squirrels. During the breeding season, it makes “ ji-ji-jiji” or lighter “ huiyi-huiyi” calls.
