說明/ 常綠喬木，樹高可達15公尺，為爪哇旃那和阿勃勒之雜交樹種，因無法透過種子自行繁殖，須透過砧木嫁接方式植栽。校園內彩虹旃那皆以阿勃勒做砧木嫁接，因此樹幹上下會有明顯分界線，樹皮顏色也不同。花季約從6到9月，因花色介於阿勃勒的黃和爪哇旃那的紅之間，色彩富於變化，所以有彩虹美名。本校共栽464棵，分別植於校內健康路、前瞻路與創新路兩旁。（陸維元攝）

An evergreen tree that can grow to 15 m in length, it is a hybrid cross between the Apple Blossom Shower and the Golden Shower Tree. It is a sterile hybrid and should be propagated by grafting. The Rainbow Shower Trees on campus are all grafted, with obvious dividing lines appearing on the trunks separating different bark colors. The flowers bloom between June and September, with colors ranging between the yellow flowers of Golden Shower Tree and the red flowers of Apple Blossom Shower, giving the plant the name “Rainbow Shower Tree.” There are 464 Rainbow Shower Trees on campus, distributed along Jian Kang, Qian-Zhan, and Chuang Xin roads.
